David professionally delivered a seminar to Shell UK on how to excel within the organisation. This fascinating session was very well received and left participants not only with quality 'food for thought' but also a practical action plan to help manage their personal development. His deep insights provide a fresh and dynamic approach to learning. I thoroughly recommend him.

We used David to facilitate a board development session on the subject of inclusion. This was one of the best development sessions we have ever undertaken. David has a wonderfully encouraging open style which creates a safe space to discuss what can be a challenging subject. David has a wealth of experience and knowledge in his field. Everyone who took part in the session said they not only valued the opportunity to engage in this subject but their understanding of inclusivity had grown as a result. David definitely looks at inclusivity through a different lens.

David was able to bring together his knowledge and experience, along with his excellent facilitation skills to create an environment where people felt safe to explore and learn. His approach was one of listening to what was needed, both from the organisation and also the individuals in my team, working to develop a cultural awareness programme that met multiple objectives and adapted in response to the issues that were raised. I continue to work with David personally through 1 to 1 coaching and would recommend him and his team to support your own training needs.

David was a member of a panel comprising senior managers in the Ministry, leading academics and the head of one of the major diversity organisations. His input was powerful and insightful. He was able to challenge both the status quo and the questioner and he came up with some original and balanced solutions. His take on how government departments and large organisations could and should engage with disadvantaged and/or disengaged groups was particularly helpful and the Ministry will be following this through with him. His delivery and general presence were most impressive and I would not hesitate in inviting him to future similar events.

I wanted to express my gratitude for teaching on Day 3 of the Leadership and Management course, at the Institue of Family Therapy. It was incredibly insightful and nourishing, giving students and myself a great deal to consider for our practice. The concept of psychological safety, and its importance to courageous practice really resonated with us all. The quality of teaching was high, very engaging, with many practice examples. Your willingness to model courageous conversations was most welcomed.

David Shosanya has been a pleasure to work with both in the design and delivery of recent Webinars and also Training Modules. He liaised with the team all the way through, was consultative in his approach and delivered on time to an exceptionally high standard. I would highly recommend him for any diversity or leadership training your organisation is planning on delivering. You won’t be disappointed!”

David provided helpful and thoughtful support to the department as we explored our thoughts and experiences of race.  He facilitated a range of focus groups for staff and used his skills to draw out difficult issues whilst maintaining a safe environment for all of those participating in these discussions.

David was an active listener in the sessions and guided the discussion professionally, encouraging contributions from all staff in to the discussions.

The findings that David pulled together from these focus groups have given the department a solid platform from which to further develop the department in challenging inequalities.

Thank you so much for your excellent presentation at the Southwark Council Apprenticeship Awards. I have to say that you fulfilled the speakers brief fourfold as the event was well received and all the apprentices found your words extremely encouraging. The attendees at the event were a range of people involved in making Apprenticeships happen; from college tutors, mentors, work placement managers to councillors (including the Borough Mayor) and they also spoke highly of your presentation afterwards. Once again, many thanks for helping to make our event memorable and Inspirational!

David delivered two outstanding powerful and thought provoking sessions on Unconscious Bias at our BME annual conference. His passion and commitment was contagious, and his presentation left the conference delegates, which included our Trust Chair, CEO, members of The Senior Leadership Team, frontline and admin staff, feeling heard, engaged, inspired and equipped with practical tools to  negotiate their biases. Our CEO was so impressed that he invited David back to be our keynote speaker during NHS Diversity Week. David came highly recommended and did not disappoint - an excellent communicator that has mastered his brief!
